About Hazen Press
Not long ago, printing anything—especially a multi-page publication—meant producing hundreds or thousands of copies. Now that smaller print runs are more accessible, it’s possible to make and share high-quality publications on a modest scale. That shift has opened the door for Hazen Press to produce a handful of zines (so far), mostly focused on design-related subjects and collage prints produced by Shawn Hazen. They’ll continue be released alongside projects printed by hand in the studio and on Risograph.
About Shawn Hazen
Shawn Hazen is a graphic designer based in Seattle. A former art director at Apple and designer for Dwell magazine and Chronicle Books, he later founded his own studio, Hazen Creative, Inc., in Chicago. His work spans branding, editorial design, and illustration, and has been recognized by leading design competitions, publications, and books. Shawn has maintained a strong focus on print, and continues to design books and work with magazines. He has also taught courses in graphic design and typography.
